Faculty Lecture Series

Brent Heeringa, Associate Professor of Computer Science, will investigate “When Pretty Good is Good Enough: A Tour of Approximation Algorithms” on March 7th.
The final lecture of the annual Faculty Lecture Series at Williams College will be next Thursday, March 14th. The special mandate of this series is to present big ideas that cross disciplinary boundaries. The talks are free and will be followed by free receptions in Schow Atrium. The public is invited to attend.
The Faculty Lecture Series was founded in 1911 by Catherine Mariotti Pratt, the wife of an Assistant Professor of Philosophy, who wished to “relieve the tedium of long New England winters with an opportunity to hear Williams professors talk about issues that really mattered to them.”
